Have questions about transferring to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP? Relax, you’re not the only one. Take a look below at some of the frequent questions and concerns voiced by potential and current students. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, contact us at 314-529-9300, and we’ll be happy to help.

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPoperates on a rolling admission policy, which means applications are reviewed as soon as we receive the required documentation and may be processed until the beginning of each semester. You may apply as early as one year ahead of when you actually plan to enroll. Some programs, however, have limited capacity; therefore, early application is encouraged.

To be considered for transfer admission to Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP you must have a minimum grade point average of a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. You must submit transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended. In addition, if you have fewer than 30 transfer hours, please submit an official high school transcript. Please note that additional documentation may be required depending upon the major you choose.

If you plan to submit your application for admission online, it’s free!

Generally, if you earn credits with a grade of “C” or better at a regionally accredited institution, they will be accepted as transfer credit. Any credits earned in remedial courses will not be accepted. Courses in which a “D” grade was earned are not accepted in transfer unless you have earned an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Applied Science degree. In no case, however, will a course be accepted if a “D” grade was earned and the course is a requirement of the major or minor.

The associate of arts general transfer degree from an accredited Missouri community college (or another associate degree with comparable general education requirements) fulfills Maryville’s general education requirements.

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPwill accept a maximum of 68 credit hours from accredited two-year colleges. Additional credits can be accepted from another four-year institution; however, for the completion of the bachelor’s degree, the last 30 credit hours must be taken at Maryville. Half the number of credits required by the major and minor (if required) fields of study must be earned through Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPas well.

Grades earned in courses accepted for transfer do not figure into the cumulative grade point average at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP. However, your current cumulative Grade Point Average will be used to determine your potential eligibly for a Transfer Merit Based Scholarship.

Yes! Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPoffers automatic and competitive scholarships for transfer students. Students who have a 2.5 or higher cumulative grade point average with at least 24 credit hours and are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree as a full-time student will automatically receive a transfer scholarship!

Additionally members of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and at least 24 hours of transferrable credit will receive a an award in the amount of $1500 per year. The Phi Theta Kappa award is stackable with the transfer scholarship.

Your first step is to submit Maryville’s Application for Undergraduate Admission and Scholarships. If you are only applying for academic scholarships, this is the only application required.

To apply for other types of need-based and non-need-based funding – grants, loans, campus employment – you will also need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form can be completed online (www.FAFSA.ed.gov). Maryville’s federal institution school code is 002482. If you are applying for financial aid, the sooner you apply the more likely you are to receive all the funding for which you may be eligible. It is important that you complete the FAFSA early, by March 1 for maximum consideration.

Don’t let cost deter you from applying to Maryville! Our financial aid packaging policy strives to cover most students’ demonstrated need. Many students make the mistake of assuming they won’t qualify for financial aid and never complete the form. In some cases, financial aid can offset the cost differential between a public and private education.

The costs associated with attending Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP can be found here.

Visiting campus is an important factor when choosing the perfect college for your education.
