The English program at Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP helps students develop skills in the analysis, discussion and criticism of literature. Maryville’s blended program of study focuses on contemporary and classical literature, as well as rhetoric, composition, creative and professional writing. English major careers can include anything from teaching to publishing novels, or attending law school.

They build a solid foundation with the two-semester Survey of English Literature course and a senior capstone project, but the rest of your program is tailored for your career needs. Choose from courses such as Fairy Tales in Literature and Film or Contemporary American Fiction and Nonfiction.
