By definition, the role of management information systems changes as it responds to the rapidly changing world of technology.
Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP’s Management Information Systems (MIS degree) program targets the workers of the future who need a broad foundation of knowledge in network, desktop, web and business applications and also the opportunity to explore and specialize in a variety of emerging technologies. The program prepares you for both the business and technical aspects of designing, developing and implementing information systems.

During their senior year, MIS majors are paired up in teams and assigned a client to develop an application, databases, learn project management, collaboration, and all the challenging technical aspects of application development to gain an appreciation for the requirements, potential and limitations of a job following graduation.

Professor Michael Palmer is the instructor of Management Information Systems and Software Development. He holds a Master of Science in Cyber Security. He was formerly a teacher and curriculum developer in the Ferguson Florissant School District.
