˿ƵAPP Partners with LaunchCode

Free Coding Classes Offered This Summer for ˿ƵAPPAlumni

˿ƵAPP has announced a partnership with LaunchCode to offer qualified students and alumni a free coding class, and access to the LaunchCode apprenticeship program.

LaunchCode, a nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, Mo., provides in-demand education and creates technology career advancement opportunities. The 16-week course begins May 10, and will be held two evenings per week at ˿ƵAPP.

“To be the first university in the nation to offer this kind of career opportunity for our alumni is exciting,” said James Page, director of alumni engagement. “˿ƵAPPgraduates have contributed to the St. Louis economy for over a century, and with forward-thinking programs like this, they will continue to do so for years to come.”

LaunchCode connects talented individuals to companies with immediate hiring needs in the area of coding. “We’re eager to work with educational institutions like ˿ƵAPPto give talented, hard-working individuals access to free, world-class programming education,” said Brendan Lind, executive director. “Coding provides a highly accessible pathway toward a career in technology. We look forward to supporting qualified ˿ƵAPPalumni as they begin this exciting journey.”
