Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP has been named a top school on America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools survey. The ranking is published by DesignIntelligence.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re elated that our interior design program<\/a> is ranked No. 2 in the Midwest Region by\u00a0DesignIntelligence,\u201d said\u00a0Darlene Davison, associate professor and director of the program. \u201cThis accomplishment reflects our 100 percent employment placement, as well as the positive impressions our alumni make in the interior design community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP interior design alumni are employed by a wide range of firms in St. Louis, and nationally in cities such as Chicago, Ill., and Los Angeles, Calif. They are employed by international top 100 firms such as HOK and Cannon, mid-sized firms such as Christner Inc., Arcturis, The Lawrence Group, and Forum Studio, and boutique firms including\u00a0Nehring Design, O’Toole, and\u00a0NewGround.<\/p>\n

Along with these opportunities, and serving as owners of their own design agencies, alumni also work for in roles such as workplace strategist, facilities manager, and product designer.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0America\u2019s Best Architecture & Design Schools\u00a0survey is conducted annually by DesignIntelligence\u00a0on behalf of the Design Futures Council.\u00a0Professional practice leaders with direct experience hiring and supervising recent architecture and design graduates participate in the research.<\/p>\n

The survey asks participants,\u00a0\u201cIn your firm\u2019s hiring experience in the past five years, which schools are best preparing students for a future in the profession and designing a sustainable future?\u201d\u00a0In addition, practitioners assess teaching skills such as design, communication, sustainability, and technology.<\/p>\n
