Our contemporary world is bombarded with images of body perfection, which often causes anxiety. Shaw’s artwork focuses on her journey through this personal issue. “Body of Work” is a sculptural diary of life with an eating disorder. Assemblage-style forms expose complex issues underlying anorexia and the challenges of recovery. This is a raw portrait of an often misunderstood illness.

The exhibit is co-sponsored by the Body Pride Team student organization in the Office of Personal Counseling, the HERO’s student group in the Office of Health and Wellness, and the Art and Design program.

The Morton J. May Foundation Gallery is located in the library. Please see University Library for gallery hours.
