Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP is pleased to announce it has been named an Apple Distinguished School for 2016\u20132018. Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPhas been recognized for its Digital World<\/a> program, which gives students the opportunity to personalize their education in an enhanced technology environment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis designation affirms Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPas a leader in revolutionizing higher education in the twenty-first century,\u201d said President Mark Lombardi, PhD. \u201cOur innovative approach to personalized learning is a key reason for our unprecedented enrollment growth and our position as a nationally ranked university.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0selection of Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPas an Apple Distinguished School highlights the University\u2019s enormous success in creating an innovative learning environment designed to engage students and support their academic achievement.<\/p>\n

Through Digital World, all Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP undergraduate students are given free iPads in order to maximize and personalize their learning. The program emphasizes collaborative, problem-solving learning and creates a faculty-student partnership that puts students at the center of the learning. In order to support these efforts, Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPhas substantially upgraded its campus technology and is now in the top 10 percent of all connected campuses nationally.<\/p>\n

Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPPhas also invested in faculty professional development to expand their understanding of best practices for incorporating iPads in the classroom. Eighty-five percent of faculty members completed Digital World training in the first year. This knowledge gives them the ability to guide their students by collecting real-time data on learning and create an atmosphere where every student can share and participate in the learning process, and is comfortable doing so.<\/p>\n
