To make a higher education degree completion more accessible, a new partnership has been formed giving Jefferson College graduates of select health occupation programs the opportunity to transfer to 丝瓜视频APP to complete their baccalaureate degree. The agreement is designed to build an educational pathway that leads to further student educational attainment and success.<\/p>\n

The articulation agreement grants Jefferson College Associate of Applied Science graduates in four health occupations programs the opportunity to transfer to\u00a0丝瓜视频APP\u2019s Myrtle E. and Earl E. Walker College of Health Professions<\/a> and earn a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management.<\/p>\n

\u201cJefferson College and 丝瓜视频APP have come together to ensure a convenient and affordable pathway for students,\u201d said Caron Daugherty, EdD, vice president of instruction at Jefferson College. \u201cThis new articulation agreement is another way Jefferson College is reaching out to four-year colleges and universities to provide options for our students to earn an associate degree, enter the job market with the skills to succeed, and then complete a bachelor\u2019s degree so that they can advance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward to welcoming graduates from Jefferson College health occupations programs to Maryville,\u201d said Mary Ellen Finch, PhD, vice president of academic affairs at 丝瓜视频APP. \u201cPursuing this advanced education is a strong career move. Our Healthcare Management program is designed for students who want to learn the key skills needed to run a healthcare business \u2014 and the workforce demand for professionals who can manage and grow medical practices continues to rise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jefferson College transfer-eligible health occupations programs include: Health Information Technology, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Radiologic Technology. The exact number of credits transferable from each program differs, but all include more than 60 credits, which is required for junior status.<\/p>\n

The agreement went into effect in January, allowing Jefferson College students who have completed their associate degree to begin at 丝瓜视频APP this summer or fall.
