Bob Woodward, legendary Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist\/author and associate editor of the Washington Post<\/em>, will deliver the 2018 Commencement<\/a> address for Ë¿¹ÏÊÓƵAPP.<\/h6>\n

Woodward will be presented with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree.<\/p>\n

Maryville\u2019s Commencement ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on\u00a0Sunday, May 6, at St. Charles Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo.<\/p>\n

His extensive experience as a journalist and his knowledge of our constitutional rights and responsibilities make his perspective of particular interest in today\u2019s political climate. Consistently revealing the inside, hidden stories of Washington D.C. and the American Presidency\u2014from Watergate to the Supreme Court, the CIA, the Pentagon and the 9\/11 terrorist attacks to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Woodward is a two-time Pulitzer Prize winner and Washington Post<\/em> associate editor who has earned iconic status in American journalistic heritage.\u00a0Having written books on eight of the last presidents, from Nixon to Obama, and currently working on a book about President Trump, Woodward is uniquely situated to examine key questions\u00a0about\u00a0the American presidency.<\/p>\n

Woodward has authored or coauthored 18 national best-selling non-fiction books; 12 have been #1 national bestsellers. He has more #1 national non-fiction bestsellers than any other contemporary author.\u00a0In listing the all-time 100 best non-fiction books, Time Magazine<\/em> has called All the President\u2019s Men<\/em>, co-authored by Woodward and Carl Bernstein, \u201cPerhaps the most influential piece of journalism in history.\u201d<\/p>\n
